La abadía de Liessies es una abadía benedictina, situada en Liessies, en el departamento del Norte, en Francia. Fue fundada en 751, por Wibert, conde de Poitiers y primo de Pepin el Breve. Hacia mediados del siglo VIII, Wibert, conde de Poitiers, se refugia en el norte de las Galias, para huir de las persecuciones de Gaivre, duque de Aquitania; Pepin el Breve le otorga entonces las tierras desde Molhain hasta Vaux-en-Arrouaise. Wibert tenía una residencia en Merlemont, cerca de Philippeville. Un día, al cazar en el bosque de la Fagne, matando un jabalí, eligió el lugar donde cayó el animal para construir una abadía.
