La ruta conecta Normandía con la ofensiva de las Ardenas en Bastogne. La ruta completa está registrada en Routeyou como ruta en moto con el nombre Voie de la Liberté y como ruta en bicicleta con extensión hacia los Países Bajos (Wageningen) en diez partes con el nombre VDLAV (voie de la Liberté a velo).
