La ruta conecta Normandía con la ofensiva de las Ardenas en Bastogne. La ruta completa está registrada en Routeyou como una ruta motorizada con el nombre Voie de la Liberté y como ruta ciclista con extensión a los Países Bajos (Wageningen) en diez partes bajo el nombre VDLAV (voie de la Liberté a velo).
