Durante un experimento que realizó en París, en el que se aplicó una descarga eléctrica a través de una cadena de personas, la descarga se detuvo en "hombres que no poseían características masculinas". Así, fue invitado a probar esta teoría en la corte del Rey en Versalles. Allí se convocó a 3 eunucos para probar la teoría, pero era evidente que también los eunucos eran "buenos conductores".
