Divinizada con el nombre de Sequana, la fuente principal del Sena que nace en medio del bosque atrajo a muchos peregrinos galos que le atribuían virtudes curativas. Los numerosos exvotos encontrados en el santuario están expuestos en el museo arqueológico de Dijon. Hoy en día, es una encantadora ninfa de piedra que yace en una romántica cueva construida bajo el mandato de Napoleón III que da la bienvenida al visitante.
