El castillo fue reconstruido sobre un edificio del siglo XVI entre 1887 y 1905 en estilo neomedieval. Posteriormente, se añadió al edificio una planta adicional decorada en estilo neogótico. Una enorme torre achaparrada es el único indicio de la primera construcción del castillo. Completan el edificio un conjunto de dependencias formadas por grandes establos, pisos y pabellones para alojar al personal, situados en el parque.
El castillo no está abierto al público.
