En 1828, el ayuntamiento votó la construcción de un teatro a la italiana en el ala derecha del edificio de los Agustinos y el arquitecto Grillot elaboró los planos.
Fue restaurado en su totalidad entre 1891 y 1893 por el artista deodas Gaston Save, que pintó la decoración, y fue en 1925 cuando este teatro acogió sus primeras proyecciones cinematográficas.
Esta sala cerró sus puertas en agosto de 2018 a la espera de que se le asigne una nueva función.

Este edificio sólo está abierto durante las visitas guiadas (excepto el fin de semana de las Jornadas del Patrimonio) organizadas por la Oficina de Turismo de los Vosgos Occidentales.
