Jean-Baptiste André Godin (1817-1888), fundador de la famosa fábrica de estufas Godin, imaginó una sociedad que ofreciera a sus empleados el "equivalente de la riqueza". Durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, construyó la Familistère o "Palacio Social". Descubrirá la Familistère a través de su museo de sitio, el piso piloto, los patios de los pabellones residenciales, el jardín de recreo, los economatos, el Théâtre du Familistère y la lavandería-piscina.
El Familistère de Guise permanecerá cerrado del 5 al 19 de enero de 2026, ambos inclusive.
