La cúpula románico-bizantina en el centro de la ciudad no pasa desapercibida. A lo largo de la histórica carretera se encuentra la Iglesia de la Santa Cruz, también conocida como la Iglesia del Centro. La iglesia fue reconstruida en 1911 y es imponente pero esbelta. El órgano, el nártex y las vidrieras de Zettler (1912) y T.G. Hanssen (1949-1950) merecen una visita.
