Mitten im Stadtzentrum fällt diese Kuppel im römisch-byzantinischen Stil nicht unbemerkt auf. Entlang des historischen Weges steht die Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche, die auch Zentrumskirche genannt wird. Die Kirche wurde 1911 wieder aufgebaut. Sie ist edel in ihren Linien, imposant, aber schlank. Beim Betreten des Gebäudes fallen die Orgel, der Narthex sowie die Glasfenster von Zettler (1912) und T.G. Hanssen (1949-1950) auf.
