Antigua propiedad de una familia de banqueros (familia Guitard), esta casa es una de las más antiguas conservadas en Rodez. Su forma de torre muestra el ascenso social de esta familia, que dio su nombre a una parte de la rue du Touat, antiguamente llamada rue de la Guitardie.
