Este extraordinario lugar está situado a 600 m de altitud, justo en la cima del puerto de Haut-Jacques (entre Bruyères y Saint-Dié). El arboreto está formado por una plantación de abetos de Nordmann que se creó tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Con el paso de las décadas, se han ido añadiendo coníferas exóticas americanas y una colección de frondosas. Se ha trazado un sendero botánico a pie, que permite a los visitantes descubrir tanto la flora local como especies más exóticas.
