El aspecto de la capilla, una joya gótica del siglo XIII en torno a la cual se arrastra una leyenda, sigue siendo enigmático... Un enigma que muchos historiadores y estudiosos han tratado de resolver. El edificio ha cambiado a menudo a lo largo de los años. Desde 2007, la capilla, situada en la ruta de peregrinación a Santiago de Compostela, es Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO.
Los visitantes son recibidos por las monjas que viven allí.
