En el centro histórico de Bourges, Ciudad de Arte e Historia, el Palacio Jacques Cœur es uno de los edificios más suntuosos de la arquitectura civil del siglo XV. Es una obra maestra de la arquitectura gótica flamígera. Combina el repertorio gótico, la simbología real, elementos del escudo de Jacques Cœur y representaciones realistas de la vida cotidiana. Inspirado en la arquitectura aristocrática de las residencias del duque Jean de Berry, el edificio cuenta con chimeneas en todas las habitaciones y una sala de vapor para lavarse.
