En la Place de la Gare, una "mano maestra", símbolo de fraternidad, apertura y señal de bienvenida, tiende la mano a paseantes y turistas. Es obra de Jean Cardot, ganador del Prix de Rome, escultor del famoso busto de Winston Churchill que adorna los Campos Elíseos. Mano de bronce, gira sobre sí misma gracias a la acción del agua y así se presenta al paseante desde todos los ángulos. Esta originalidad es única en el mundo. La plaza es uno de los puntos del recorrido histórico de la ciudad. Este recorrido puede recogerse gratuitamente en la Oficina de Turismo.
