Situado a 13 kilómetros de Sarreguemines, Wittring es un pequeño pueblo que se ha desarrollado al pie de una colina en un bucle del Sarre
Desde la capilla en la ladera, se puede admirar todo el pueblo, así como el Saar y su canal.
El pueblo cuenta con un puerto con una capitanía.
El puerto dispone de 12 amarres con agua, electricidad, una zona de picnic y un restaurante.
También hay un aparcamiento para autocares
