El 28 de julio de 1928, la ciudad de Soissons inauguró un monumento al Ejército Británico en la Rue de la Bannière. El monumento fue diseñado por los escultores Herbet Hart y Eric Henry Kennington, y los arquitectos Gordon H. Holt y Verner O. Rees. Tres soldados británicos se sitúan sobre un pedestal en el centro del monumento. Preceden a un muro de piedras blancas, típico de la región del Soissonnais, en el que están grabados los nombres de 3.987 oficiales y soldados a los que se negó una sepultura identificable durante la guerra. En este mismo muro, una inscripción recuerda el sacrificio de estos hombres que vinieron a luchar junto a los ejércitos franceses en la Primera Guerra Mundial.
