En Emberménil, en una notable ruta de senderismo, descubra el "búnker de mando del príncipe heredero de Baviera" durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. Con un acabado poco común para una estructura de tiempos de guerra, estaba reservado para los oficiales superiores del ejército alemán
A partir del invierno de 1914, el frente se instaló en esta parte oriental del bosque de Parroy, donde todavía hoy son visibles muchas de las estructuras construidas por los dos beligerantes.
