A Emberménil, lungo un notevole percorso escursionistico, scoprite il "bunker di comando del principe ereditario di Baviera" durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale. Con una finitura rara per una struttura di guerra, era riservata agli alti ufficiali dell'esercito tedesco
A partire dall'inverno del 1914, il fronte si insediò in questa parte orientale della foresta di Parroy, dove ancora oggi sono visibili molte delle strutture costruite dai due belligeranti.
