La Butte de Monson, un panorama cargado de historia
Actualmente en ruinas, todo el emplazamiento está catalogado como Monumento Histórico. Esta inscripción incluye también la capilla templaria, construida en las inmediaciones. Antigua residencia de los duques de Bar y plaza fuerte estratégica desde la época romana, la cima de la Butte de Mousson es un montículo seminatural, rodeado en gran parte por los restos del recinto fortificado.
Aún pueden admirarse partes de los muros de la torre del homenaje, conocida como "La Grosse Tour". El lugar ofrece una vista panorámica excepcional del valle del Mosela, la región de Saulnois y la ciudad de Metz.
