La Butte de Monson: un panorama ricco di storia
Oggi in rovina, l'intero sito è classificato come Monumento Storico. Questo elenco comprende anche la cappella dei Templari, costruita nelle vicinanze. Antica residenza dei duchi di Bar e roccaforte strategica fin dall'epoca romana, la cima della Butte de Mousson è una collinetta seminaturale, in gran parte circondata dai resti del recinto fortificato.
Alcune parti delle mura del mastio, noto come "La Grosse Tour", possono ancora essere ammirate. Il sito offre una vista panoramica eccezionale sulla valle della Mosella, sulla regione del Saulnois e sulla città di Metz.
