El nombre del municipio deriva de "Jonc". El pueblo fue fundado por los monjes que limpiaban el terreno hacia el año 900 y fue conocido sucesivamente como Joncrusum, Joncherii, Joncherium... Perteneció a la familia Jacquinot en el siglo XVIII. La iglesia de St Pierre ès Liens data de los siglos XII-XIII y XVI. Cuenta con - estatuas del siglo XVI que representan a Sainte Barbe, Saint Pierre-ès-Liens y la Virgen Madre - una pila bautismal del siglo XVI - una vidriera con Dios Padre y ángeles.
