Edificado en 1904 en el lugar de una casa de campo, este castillo, que perteneció entre otros al pintor Fleury Richard, fue concebido por los arquitectos Vernon y Sainte-Marie-Perrin. Es una construcción masiva con arcos, torrecillas y techos a gran pendiente. Contiene una muy bella sala de música con galería y órgano.
Se trata del último gran castillo edificado en Ecully de 1904 a 1910.
Pontourné también da espacio a los beaucerons, llamados también "Pastores de Beauce" porque se puede encontrar una cría de estos magníficos perros para los amantes de los animales.
