Edificato nel 1904 sul sito di una casa di campagna, questo castello, che è appartenuto tra gli altri al pittore Fleury Richard, è stato progettato dagli architetti Vernon e Sainte-Marie-Perrin. È una costruzione massiccia con arcate, torrette, tetti a forte pendenza. Contiene una bellissima sala da musica con galleria e organo.
Si tratta dell'ultimo grande castello edificato a Ecully dal 1904 al 1910.
Pontourné lascia anche spazio ai beaucerons, chiamati anche "Pastore della Beauce" perché qui si può trovare un allevamento di questi splendidi cani per gli amanti degli animali.
