A la entrada del pueblo, a 4 km de Aubusson, capital del tapiz, se encuentra el castillo de Saint-Maixant, del siglo XV. Numerosos tapices de Aubusson del siglo XVII adornan las paredes y en la 4ª planta se encuentra un pequeño tocador (salón) de tapices.
Alejandro Dumas, entre otros, se alojó en este castillo. El Dr. Chabert le recibe en sus habitaciones, en una finca de 13 hectáreas. Este castillo tiene 7 plantas (con ascensor). Puede subir la escalera de caracol de la torre cuadrada para llegar a su habitación en la 4ª planta o tomar el ascensor para acceder a todas las plantas del castillo. El Château ofrece 5 habitaciones para un total de 12 personas. Tarifas de 90 a 135 €. Sala de estar.
