Champneuville es un pueblo que seguía en pie en 1915 (como muestra esta foto del teniente Barbier, destinado en "Les Côtelettes" (colección Sutera-Sardo)
Hay muchos pueblos en el Mosa que fueron destruidos por la guerra de 1914 - 1918. Pequeños pueblos sin historia se vieron de repente envueltos en la historia. Muchos de sus habitantes, obligados a abandonar el país, volvieron y reconstruyeron tras mucho esfuerzo.
Esta exposición es un testimonio de la larga memoria de los dos pueblos de Champneuville. Fue posible gracias al descubrimiento de "tesoros" de archivo: viejos cuadernos, viejas fotos, testimonios orales... y a la buena voluntad de todos aquellos que se sintieron concernidos por la necesidad de recordar..."
La Secretaría del Ayuntamiento está abierta de miércoles a jueves de 8.30 a 12.00 horas.
