El Rocher de Moïse es un conjunto de rocas dolomíticas que, según el punto de vista desde el que se miren, dan la impresión de un grupo de personas.
La roca se encuentra ahora en el corazón del bosque estatal de Mende, tras la reforestación de los alrededores de Mende.
El nombre de la Roca de Moisés puede estar relacionado con la presencia de una capilla en la misma ladera que domina el valle del Lot y Mende: la ermita de San Privat.
Es un lugar sagrado en el que se han encontrado tumbas que se remontan a la época merovingia y en el que se han erigido una capilla, un vía crucis y cruces monumentales y se han convertido cuevas en lugares de devoción. El primer capellán habría oficiado allí en el siglo XII.
