Bajo el subsuelo de Liffol se escondían villas galo-romanas, un santuario donde se celebraban los cultos al agua y al sol, y muchos otros tesoros de la época galo-romana..
Las excavaciones las han revelado, así como una sala de fumadores única en el mundo romano y un mosaico flaviano
Estos objetos se exponen y muestran en dos niveles en este museo, que en su día fue la casa del guarda forestal
Las colecciones abarcan desde la prehistoria hasta la época galorromana, la Edad Media y el Renacimiento.
