Entre 1958 y 1992, el abate Hoarau excavó incansablemente todos los rincones de su parroquia, llevando consigo a arqueólogos en ciernes. Recogió líticos, fragmentos, huesos y guijarros, que etiquetó pacientemente y expuso en el primer museo que abrió en 1967 encima del ayuntamiento de Blasimon. Esta colección constituye la base de un original descubrimiento de la región de Entre-deux-Mers, tierra de abadías, molinos, ciudades fortificadas y viñedos. El nuevo Museo de Blasimon, modernizado y acondicionado en la capilla del pueblo, convierte a los visitantes en arqueólogos modernos, con juegos, animaciones, talleres pedagógicos y descubrimientos únicos.
