Tra il 1958 e il 1992, l'Abbé Hoarau ha scavato instancabilmente in ogni angolo della sua parrocchia, portando con sé archeologi in erba. Raccolse litici, frammenti, ossa e ciottoli, che etichettò pazientemente ed espose nel primo museo che aprì nel 1967 sopra il municipio di Blasimon. Questa collezione costituisce la base per una scoperta originale della regione di Entre-deux-Mers, terra di abbazie, mulini, città fortificate e vigneti. Modernizzato, potenziato e ospitato nella cappella del villaggio, il nuovo Musée de Blasimon trasforma i visitatori in archeologi moderni, con giochi, eventi, laboratori didattici e scoperte uniche.
