Instalado en el pueblo de Louhossoa desde hace 17 años, Jean-Marie, conocido como Jmeu, lleva en su interior la herencia de un arte milenario y transmite un arte y una técnica que siguen haciéndonos viajar al país de las formas, los materiales y los colores.
Tras cursar estudios secundarios en Rambouillet, Jean-Marie estudió diseño gráfico en París. Fue durante unas prácticas cuando descubrió el vidrio hilado con un soplete. El material del vidrio fundido le atraía, y era natural que se iniciara en el soplado de vidrio con caña, una técnica de creación y artesanía en la que prosperó.
Aprende el oficio de vidriero en Nancy, luego trabaja con su formador Jean-Michel Gauthier en la Vendée, y después con Carlos Vieira, en las Landas.
