Debido a las obras de la Unidad de Filtración de Agua de la Fuente de Chartreux, el acceso al recinto estará restringido del 9 de febrero al 17 de abril de 2026. No obstante, se mantendrá el acceso a la pasarela peatonal.
La fuente de Chartreux es un resurgimiento calcáreo que en su día fue un lugar de culto a Divona, la diosa celta del agua que dio su nombre a Cahors (Divona Cadurcorum).
El descubrimiento de numerosas monedas romanas en 1989 atestigua el culto a la fuente en los siglos I a.C. y I d.C.
En la Edad Media, un molino utilizaba el agua de la fuente, después, en 1360, fue vendida a la Cartuja, de ahí su nombre actual.
