Al pie del puente Valentré (siglo XIV), monumento emblemático de Cahors, este jardín plantado de vides se hace eco del vino de Cahors y de su cepa emblemática, el Malbec.
Es el punto de partida de la visita de los Jardines Secretos, un recorrido marcado por clavos de bronce con hojas de acanto que le llevará al corazón de la ciudad.
Desde la época galo-romana, los viñedos han sido un elemento clave de la identidad de Cahors. Estas vides plantadas a orillas del Lot mantienen un fuerte vínculo con el río, evocando el comercio del vino de Cahors, que desde la Edad Media ha seguido el Lot y luego el Garona para llegar al puerto de Burdeos.
