Dieser mit Weinreben bepflanzte Garten am Fuße der Valentré-Brücke (14. Jh.), einem Wahrzeichen von Cahors, ist ein Echo auf den Wein von Cahors und seine symbolträchtige Rebsorte Malbec.
Er ist der Ausgangspunkt für den Rundgang "Jardins Secrets", der Sie durch das Herz der Stadt führt.
Die Weinberge sind seit der gallo-römischen Zeit ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Identität von Cahors. Die am Ufer des Lot gepflanzten Weinstöcke halten eine starke Verbindung zum Fluss aufrecht und erinnern an den Handel mit dem Wein aus Cahors, der seit dem Mittelalter über den Lot und dann über die Garonne in den Hafen von Bordeaux gelangte, um dort gehandelt zu werden.
