Ai piedi del Ponte di Valentré (XIV secolo), monumento emblematico di Cahors, questo giardino coltivato a vite riecheggia il vino di Cahors e il suo vitigno emblematico, il Malbec.
È il punto di partenza del tour dei Giardini Segreti, un percorso segnato da chiodi di bronzo con foglie d'acanto che vi porterà nel cuore della città.
Fin dall'epoca gallo-romana, i vigneti sono stati una parte fondamentale dell'identità di Cahors. Queste viti piantate sulle rive del Lot mantengono un forte legame con il fiume, evocando il commercio del vino di Cahors, che dal Medioevo ha seguito il Lot e poi la Garonna per raggiungere il porto di Bordeaux.
