El Doubs cambia de valle para desembocar en el Lac de Saint Point. Se puede recorrer a pie desde la estación de Longevilles Mont d'Or, 5,4 km
El sendero sigue en parte el curso del Doubs y pasa por las Gargantas del Fourperet (cluse), que el Doubs modeló para atravesar el Monte de la Croix. Este desfiladero sirve de paso a la carretera departamental 435 y a la línea ferroviaria de París a Lausana. El sendero se adentra en el desfiladero siguiendo el curso del Doubs.
