El antiguo túnel ferroviario de Le Dattier forma parte del antiguo "Train des Pignes" (Saint-Raphaël – Toulon) a lo largo de la Corniche des Maures.
El túnel tiene una longitud aproximada de 285 metros y fue excavado a mano a finales del siglo XIX en mica esquisto , una roca frágil en la que no se podían utilizar explosivos.
Actualmente funciona como carril bici y peatonal (parte de la ruta europea V65 ), conocido como Chemin Pierre Foncin. El túnel es recto e iluminado , con carriles para peatones y ciclistas; no se permite el tráfico de coches; solo los residentes de Le Dattier pueden conducir.
