Llanbryn-mair es un pueblo y la zona que lo rodea en el condado galés de Powys, en la carretera A470 entre Caersws y Machynlleth. El área de Llanbryn-mair es la segunda más grande del condado; en 2005, tenía una población de 958 personas.
La comunidad incluye varios caseríos: Talerddig, Dolfach, Tafolwern, Pandy, Bont Dolgadfan, Cringoed, Pennant, Wern-Gerhynt, Tafolog y Dylife. El centro histórico está en Llan, en la carretera a Llanidloes, con una pequeña iglesia parroquial dedicada a Santa María. El centro actual de la villa, en el cruce de la A470 y la B4518 en Llanidloes, se convirtió en la capital del municipio gracias a la nueva carretera de peaje de 1821 y la llegada del tren en 1861. La Cambrian Line aún atraviesa el pueblo, pero la estación fue cerrada en 1965 en el marco de cierres generalizados causados por el informe Beeching.
