El Estadio de Wembley fue un estadio multipropósito, pero principalmente utilizado para la práctica del fútbol, y se encontraba ubicado en el barrio del mismo nombre en Londres, capital de Reino Unido. Fue el estadio más famoso del Reino Unido y uno de los más conocidos de todo el mundo, a tal grado de recibir como sobrenombre el término Catedral del fútbol mundial. Fue la sede principal de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 1948 y la Copa Mundial de Fútbol de 1966. Fue sede del pago por visión SummerSlam, organizado por la World Wrestling Entertainment en 1992, siendo este el único evento celebrado en el Reino Unido. En 2002 fue demolido y en su lugar se construyó el Nuevo Wembley.
Obra de los arquitectos John Simpson y Maxwell Aryton y del ingeniero Owen Williams, fue inaugurado en 1923 con ocasión de la exposición imperial británica a realizarse el año siguiente, de hecho su nombre inglés era el Empire Stadium.
