El Camino del Gigante es la atracción turística más popular de Irlanda del Norte. El Camino del Gigante es un área de aproximadamente 40,000 columnas de basalto entrelazadas, resultado de una antigua erupción volcánica. Fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1986. En una encuesta de 2005 entre los lectores de Radio Times, el Camino del Gigante fue nombrado como la cuarta maravilla natural más grande del Reino Unido. Las cima de las columnas forman piedras de paso que conducen desde el pie del acantilado y desaparecen bajo el mar. La mayoría de las columnas son hexagonales, aunque también hay algunas con cuatro, cinco, siete u ocho lados. Las más altas miden aproximadamente 12 metros de altura, y la lava solidificada en los acantilados tiene 28 metros de grosor en algunos lugares.
