Islay es la isla más austral de las Hébridas Interiores, en Escocia. Localizado en el Seno de Jura. Se la conoce como La reina de las Hébridas. A los nativos de Islay se les llama Ìleach, cuyo plural es Ìlich. La capital de la isla es Bowmore, famosa por su destilería de whisky y por la iglesia de Kilarrow Parish. En segundo lugar se encuentra el pueblo de Port Ellen.
