Livade recibió el título de " centro mundial de la trufa".
El valle del río Mirna en Istria, especialmente Livade, alberga la famosa trufa de Istria. Este pequeño pueblo del interior de la península sigue atrayendo cada vez a más gente, sobre todo desde que Giancarlo Zigante encontró la trufa más grande conocida en el mundo, que pesaba 1.310 kg , y entró en el Libro Guinness de los Récords como el ejemplar más grande jamás creado. Este notable acontecimiento tuvo lugar en noviembre de 1999 y le valió a Livade el título de centro mundial de la trufa.
El descubridor tiene ahora su propio restaurante, Zigante, y una tienda asociada, más conocida por sus preparaciones y productos con trufa.
Livade es también el punto final de la etapa más hermosa Parenzana Grožnjan - Livade a lo largo de la antigua vía ferroviaria de Parenzana , hoy una ruta ciclista y peatonal muy conocida.
