Gemona del Friuli es un municipio italiano de 11.040 habitantes de la provincia de Údine. El 6 de mayo y el 15 de septiembre de 1976, fue devastado por un terremoto . Más tarde siendo reedificado completamente tomando criterios antisísmicos.
Es el municipio más importante del territorio "Gemonese" que reúne los pueblos de Artegna, Buja, Bordano, Forgaria nel Friuli, Magnano in Riviera, Moggio Udinese, Montenars, Osoppo, Resiutta, Tarcento, Trasaghis y Venzone.
