Conecta las localidades de Monno al sur y Grosio al norte. La altura del paso es de 1.852 m. La carretera del paso está completamente asfaltada, en algunos tramos es de un solo carril en el ancho de la calzada. En la cima del paso hay un pequeño aparcamiento de gravilla.
El paso es hoy más conocido como Passo del Mortirolo, que en realidad es un paso secundario del Passo della Foppa. Bajo esta denominación también se señaliza el recorrido desde Monno.
