El 3 de julio de 2022, un serac se derrumbó en la montaña de Marmolada, en los Dolomitas, en la frontera regional entre Trentino y Veneto, Italia. Once personas murieron y ocho resultaron heridas. El colapso a gran escala del serac provocó uno de los accidentes más graves en los Alpes en las últimas décadas.[1]
