La gruta de Lourdes se encuentra en la ladera de la Couberg detrás de una amplia plaza con bancos. Es una copia exacta del original en Francia.
La gruta fue excavada en 1926 por iniciativa del párroco Hermans según un diseño de J. Ras. En 1929, siguiendo un diseño del arquitecto Dils, se construyó la sacristía de piedra dura y la correspondiente quiosco para la venta de artículos religiosos. La imagen de Bernadette, del taller de Linssen, fue creada en 1934. J. Eymael hizo el púlpito a la derecha del altar.
La gruta está excavada en la pared de yeso. En la pared sobre la gruta hay una imagen de la Virgen María, a la derecha de la gruta hay un púlpito. A la izquierda de la gruta se encuentran la sacristía y el quiosco. A la izquierda también se encuentra la imagen de Bernadette.
En la gruta hay un altar sobre una plataforma de piedra dura con dos escalones de acceso. Detrás del altar hay la posibilidad de encender velas.
