Azewijn es una aldea de 810 habitantes en el municipio de Montferland, ubicado en la región de Liemers de Gelderland, al pie de Montferland y el Bergherbos. Azewijn se encuentra a aproximadamente tres kilómetros al este de 's-Heerenberg. La aldea se compone de dos partes, a saber, el núcleo del pueblo en sí y una extensa zona rural. Al este del núcleo del pueblo se encuentran las Grandes y Pequeñas Reeven. En esta última área hay una excavación de arena donde se han reportado hallazgos fósiles. Aquí también se encuentra un vertedero donde se ha construido un parque solar.
