Vierhuizen es un pueblo en el municipio de Het Hogeland en la provincia de Groningen, Países Bajos. El pueblo contaba en 2021, según el CBS, con 120 habitantes. Vierhuizen está justo al lado del dique de sueño de la antigua Lauwerszee y fue un pueblo pesquero hasta 1927, al igual que Zoutkamp, situado a 2,5 km al sur. La mención más antigua del nombre Vierhuizen data de 1525. El lugar debe su nombre a las cuatro casas de piedra que había en ese entonces. La construcción del polder Kerkvoogdij hizo que perdiera ese significado. Este polder cerró el "agujero" que existía entre el polder West, al norte, y el polder Panser, al sur. Durante la inundación de 1877, se rompió el dique del polder West, lo que provocó la muerte de 14 personas.
