Ophemert es una aldea en Betuwe situada en la orilla derecha del Waal entre Zennewijnen y Varik.
Ophemert se unió al municipio de Varik el 1 de enero de 1812, pero se separó de este el 1 de enero de 1818. El municipio se fusionó el 1 de enero de 1978 con los municipios de Est y Opijnen, Haaften, Varik y Waardenburg para formar el nuevo municipio de Neerijnen. Este municipio ya se ha incorporado al municipio fusionado de West Betuwe.
