Oldebroek es un lugar en el municipio de Gelderland del mismo nombre, Oldebroek. Según la Oficina Central de Estadística, la localidad de Oldebroek y su zona rural cuentan con más de 6.310 habitantes. El nombre es una deformación de Broek o Oldebruch y se mencionó por primera vez en el siglo XIV. Cuando en 1396 la ciudad cercana de Elburg fue rodeada por una muralla, Oldebroek se volvió dependiente de Elburg. Esto permitió a los habitantes de Oldebroek proteger sus bienes y propiedades dentro de las murallas de la fortaleza de Elburg en caso de ataques enemigos.
